IBM RT PC 8-Port Asynchronous Adapters
You can install any combination of IBM RT PC 8-Port Asynchronous
RS-232C Adapter, IBM RT PC 8-Port Asynchronous RS-422A
Adapter, or IBM RT PC 8-Port Asynchronous MIL-STD 188 Adapters
for a total of six in the IBM 6150 and four in the IBM 6151. Use of
the IBM 5080 Peripheral Attachment Adapter limits the maximum
number of 8-port asynchronous adapters to four in the IBM 6150 and
two in the IBM 6151.
Note: Using 8-Port Asynchronous Adapters concurrently with 4-
Port Adapters, PC AT Serial/Parallel Adapters, and/or 6150 Serial
Ports may result in reduced performance (depending on line speed
and usage) of devices attached to the 8-Port Adapters.
8-Port Asynchronous RS-232C Adapter
With the 8-Port Asynchronous RS-232C Adapter you can connect
a system unit or 6192 Expansion Unit - Model 001 to printers,
plotters, terminals, or modems located up to 15.2 m (50 ft) from the
system unit.
