Displaying an Offline array

To view an Offline array from the Adaptec BIOS Utility, complete the following steps

1. Turn on the server and when you are prompted, press Ctrl+A to enter the

Adaptec BIOS Utility.

2. Select

Array Configuration Utility

and then select

Manage Array

.

3. Use the Up and Down keys to navigate to an Offline array.

4. Press Enter. The array status is displayed as Offline, Offline Revived, or Critical

Revived.

Invalid process

In the Adaptec BIOS Utility or in the IBM ServeRAID Manager application, if you
select an option that is not valid, an

Invalid Process

error message is displayed.

For example, in the Adaptec BIOS Utility, if you select

Manage Array

, and then

select an Offline array, a menu is displayed that enables you to select which array
you want to be the bootable array. If you select an Offline array, an

Invalid

Process

error message is displayed because you cannot boot from an Offline array.

BIOS

If you set an Offline drive as a bootable device, an

Invalid Process

error message

is displayed.
