Chapter 1. Introduction
Designed for computer environments that require high-performance, high-capacity
data storage, the DDS Gen 5 drive is the latest offering in the popular DDS
technology roadmap.
This SCSI tape drive is capable of storing up to 36 GB per data cartridge and
transferring data at a sustained rate of up to 3.5 MB per second. Both capacity and
transfer rate are further enhanced by its onboard data compression feature.
