parameters for your 4247 printer. The chapter is divided into sections according to
parameter. Refer to this partial table of contents for parameter and page listings.
Paper Source
The Paper Source parameter defines the current paper source for the printer. The
values displayed on the operator panel depend on the forms devices installed in
the printer. The paper source setting can be set to any of the following values:
Front (Default)
Paper is fed under the front tractor cover for the Front Push, Rear Pull, or
Push-Pull paper paths or if Continuous Forms Linking is set to
Enabled
in
Printer Setup.
Rear
Paper feeding is from the rear push tractor (paper enters and exits from
the rear of the printer). If this path is selected, the Rear Pull and Push-Pull
paths are not available.
Bin 1
Selects Bin 1 of the automatic sheet feeder device as the current paper
source, or selects linked ASF bins that include Bin 1 if the ASF Bin Linking
is enabled.
Bin 2
Selects Bin 2 of the automatic sheet feeder device as the current paper
source, or selects linked ASF Bins 2+3 if the ASF Bin Linking is enabled.
Bin 3
Selects Bin 3 of the automatic sheet feeder device as the current paper
source.
Manual
Selects manual sheet feed as the current paper source.
Note:
It is not recommended that you select Manual when the printer is
set for either the Rear-Pull or the Push-Pull paper paths. Manual
can be selected from the operator panel, but to use it, you will need
to re-configure the paper path both before and after using Manual.
Manual
cannot be selected via the IPDS data stream when the
printer is set for either the Rear-Pull or the Push-Pull paper paths.
