Setting
up
the
enclosure
and
installing
a
drive
You
can
install
up
to
four
full-high
drives
or
six
half-high
drives
in
the
enclosure;
any
combination
of
drives
up
to
a
maximum
of
six
can
be
installed
(for
example,
you
can
install
two
full-high
drives
and
four
half-high
drives).
Any
combination
of
SCSI,
SAS,
and
SATA
drives
can
be
installed.
Notes:
1.
You
can
use
the
SAS
accessory
kit
to
install
either
a
SAS
drive
or
a
SATA
drive
in
the
tape
drive
enclosure.
2.
You
can
use
the
USB
accessory
kit
to
install
either
a
USB
drive
or
a
SATA
drive
in
the
tape
drive
enclosure.
3.
You
need
an
accessory
kit
for
each
tape
drive
that
you
install
in
the
enclosure.
To
set
up
the
tape
enclosure
and
install
a
drive,
complete
the
following
steps.
Note:
You
will
need
a
flat-blade
screwdriver
and
a
Phillips
screwdriver
during
the
installation.
1.
Review
the
information
in
and
the
safety
documentation
that
comes
with
your
rack
cabinet.
2.
Loosen
the
six
screws
on
the
top
of
the
enclosure;
then,
remove
the
cover
from
the
enclosure.
