Redundant
Array
of
Independent
Disks
(RAID)
A
method
of
combining
several
hard
disks
to
make
one
large
volume.
RAID
configurations
are
typically
used
on
a
network
file
server
to
achieve
faster
access,
greater
protection
against
disk
failure,
or
both.
Restore
The
process
of
using
an
image
or
backup
to
revert
to
a
previous
hard
disk
state.
SCSI
(Small
Computer
System
Interface)
An
interface
technology
used
to
integrate
a
disk
drive
and
a
computer.
Service
partition
A
hidden,
locked
partition
on
the
local
hard
disk
used
for
backup
and
restore
operation.
Service

are
tightly

Snapshot
A

backup
data
(cumulative
and
most

into
one
cumulative
backup.
In
addition,
the
snapshot
process
deletes
the
most
recent
backup.
Snapshot
backups
should
be
performed
at
significant
checkpoints
such
as
after
the
installation
of
a
new
application,
creation
of
a
new
database,
etc.
