Furthermore, there is another difference to the previous ibaFOB boards concerning the 

module SM64. The system interface board ibaLink-SM-64-io can be put into a SIMATIC 

S5 system. The ibaLink-SM-64-io will then send S5 real instead of standard IEEE 754 

real. The previous boards automatically converted S5 real into IEEE 754 real. The 

ibaFOB-4i-D has to be configured to do this. That is why ibaPDA needs to know the 

incoming telegram format. The link mode property is extended with the S5 real format 

when an ibaLink-SM-64-io board is connected to an ibaFOB-D board.
