Safety and other advices
2.1
Intended application
The board is electrical equipment. It may be used only in the following applications:
Automation of industrial systems
Measurement data logging and analysis
Applications of iba Software products (ibaPDA, ibaLogic, etc.)
This board must only be connected to peripheral devices of iba AG or dedicated de-
vices of other manufacturers.
Important note
The pass-through of the ibaFOB board family into virtual machines (VMs) is not sup-
ported, because additional latencies may result in loss of measurement data or firmware
updates are not performed correctly and the ibaFOB board no longer functions as a
result.
2.2
Conventional installation
This board must only be installed in IBM-PC compatible computers (PC).
2.3
Special safety advices
Electric shock!
Switch off the PC and disconnect it from the mains power supply before opening!
Electrostatic discharge!
This board contains components which can be destroyed by electrostatic discharge. Be-
fore touching the board, make sure that your body is electrically discharged or work in a
designated ESD protected area!
The standards for handling electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD) must be followed.
