To avoid damage to the tiller, store in an upright position at all times.
6.35
Remove the HT lead spark plug cap to prevent unintentional starting.
6.36
Never lay heavy objects on top of the tiller.
6.37
Carefully select a suitable storage area away from extremes of temperature and any
ignition sources such as boilers.
6.38
If transporting the machine, remove all fuel before transport.
6.39
Ensure the tiller is secure and strapped down to prevent it moving during transport.

Never use the tiller in a moving vehicle.
8. LONG TERM STORAGE
WARNING
Fuel and its vapours can ignite and cause fires.
You
MUST
select a well ventilated storage area away from sources of heat, flame or
sparks.
A hot engine can ignite flammable materials.
ALWAYS
let the engine cool for at least 15 minutes before storing.
7.0
Fuel can become stale if stored for more than 30 days.
Stale fuel causes gum deposits to form in the fuel system which can lead to poor
starting or engine malfunction.
7.1
The following steps should be taken to prepare your tiller for storage.
7.2
You must drain the fuel from the fuel tank.
Then run the machine until the engine comes to a stop, this allows the carburetor to
be emptied of fuel.
7.3
Clean the tiller completely and make sure all moving parts are lubricated.
7.4
Check the tines to make sure they are ready for the following season.
Use a light oil or silicone spray to help prevent the tines from rusting.
7.5
Drain engine oil and replace with new SAE15w40 engine oil, fill to the upper mark on
the dipstick.
7.6
Remove the HT lead spark plug cap to prevent accidental starting.
7.7
Once all work above is carried out store the machine in a clean and dry place.
DO NOT
store a machine that has not been given time to fully cool down.
