3. ASSEMBLY AND INITIAL OPERATION
3.1 Power unit.
3.1.1 Assemble the front handle as shown in the diagrams. Do not over tighten the
screws until you have set the perfect working position with the carrying strap. The
front handle should be aligned as show in “Power Unit” diagram.
3.2 Hedge trimmer.

3.3 Fuel information.
3.3.1 Refuelling:
3.3.1.1 For air-cooled 2-stroke engines, mix unleaded petrol thoroughly with
synthetic 2-stroke oil at 40:1 ratio or mineral 2-stroke oil at 25:1 ratio.
3.3.2 TIP - Always prepare 1 litre of the mix at a time because the mix turns unusable
after prolonged storage. Take care of fire.
Petrol is highly flammable. Take the following precautions:
3.3.3 Store fuel in containers specifically designed for this purpose.
3.3.4 Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refuel

ing.
3.3.5 Add fuel before starting the engine. Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or
add petrol while the engine is running or when the engine is hot.
3.3.6 Avoid spillage:
3.3.6.1 If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine but move the
machine away from the area of spillage and avoid creating any source of
ignition until petrol vapo

3.3.7 Tighten all fuel tank and container caps securely.
