5. INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

The instructions below shall apply to regular conditions of use. In severe 

conditions and longer periods of work, it is necessary to shorten the 

of 

maintenance 

intervals as appropriate.

After finishing the job, always check the entire machine 

for general 

condition, damage 

and carry out cleaning.

Regular check and treatment:

Check the air filter (clean it up if necessary)

Check the spark plug (replace if necessary)

The function and quantity of the plastic cord.

Always switch the power unit off when doing maintenance or a repair.

5.1.1 

A machine that is 

 maintained and cared for on a regular basis may be 

considered a serviceable aid. Insufficient maintenance and care may result in 

emergencies and unforeseen accidents.

5.1.2 Only authorised servicing agents may do repairs requiring special professional 

knowledge.

5.1.3 Follow these precautions:

Make sure all 

nuts, bolts and screws 

are kept 

tight 

so 

the equipment 

works as intended. If any parts are loose or missing DO NOT use 

the machine 

until repair 

work 

has taken place.

 store with petrol in the tank.

5.1.3.3 Allow 

the 

engine to cool before storing.

5.1.3.4 Keep hot engine parts away from grass, leaves and excess grease.

 

5.1.3.5 Always replace worn or damaged parts.

5.1.3.6 If petrol tank needs draining, do it outdoors.

5.1.3.7 Do not attempt to repair the machine unless you are competent to do 

so.

5.1.3.8 Use only genuine Hyundai parts and accessories.

5.2 Maintenance chart.

5.2.1 Always stop the engine before 

carrying out 

any maintenance

 on the machine

5.2.2 When all parts have stopped moving, remove the spark plug lead to begin 

maintenance work.

5.2.3 Never repair cutting attachments

5.2.4 Never attempt maintenance that is not outlined in this manual. All repair 

work must be carried out by a Hyundai Authorised Service Centre.
