11. STORAGE 

 

 

     

NOTE 

If the machine is to be stored for winter, or a period of 30 days or more then it is 
important that you follow the instructions below. 
Failure to do so can cause starting issues or other problems with the machine that 
may not be covered by the warranty. 

8.0 

Drain the fuel from the fuel tank into a secure and suitable container. 

8.1 

Run the machine until it is out of any remaining fuel left in the fuel lines and allow the 
the machine to cool down. 

8.2 

Change the engine oil as set out in section 7.12 to 7.17. 

8.3 

Remove the spark plug as set out in section 7.4 and 7.5. 

8.4 

Pour a teaspoon of fresh 15w40 engine oil into the cylinder bore. 

8.5 

With the engine switched off and the spark plug removed, place a lint free cloth over 
the cylinder bore and pull the recoil starter handle 3 to 4 times to evenly distribute 
the fresh oil over the cylinder bore wall. 

8.6 

Remove the lint free cloth and reinstall the spark plug as set out in section 7.9 to 
7.11. 

8.7 

Clean the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. 

DO NOT 

soak the machine with water or use a hose pipe. 

DO NOT 

use any cleaning chemicals as this could damage external parts of the 

machine. 

8.8 

Lubricate moving parts with a light silicone spray grease or similar. 

8.9 

Visually inspect the machine and replace any broken parts. 

8.10 

Store in a cool, dry place, away from any sources of ignition. 

8.11 

DO NOT 

stack items on top of the machine.
