GENERAL SAfETy INSTRUCTIONS
•
Use this unit exclusively for the private and specified purposes. This unit is not intended for
commercial utilisation.
•
If you are going not to use the unit for a long time, to install any accessory, to clean it or in
the case of defect, unplug the unit from the wall outlet (hold the plug, do not pull the power
cord).
•
Check the unit and the power cord regularly for damage. If the unit shows any defect, do not
put it into operation.
•
If the unit stops working due to intensive smoke and excessive heat, remove the batteries
immediately and unplug the power cord.
•
If the unit is in operation for a long time, it will heat up. It is normal and it does not indicate
any defect of the unit. This unit includes microprocessors that may malfunction as a result
of electrical interference or noise. If the unit is not working properly, disconnect the power
source and then reconnect it.
•
Do not install the unit in the following places:
o
Places with direct sunlight or near devices producing heat, for example electrical heat-
ers.
o
Do not place the unit near the sources of interference or metal frames, for example com-
puters or TV sets.
o
Do not use the unit at low temperatures for extended periods of time.
o
Do not place the unit on the top of other stereo device producing excessive heat.
o
Do not place the unit in locations with insufficient ventilation or excessive dust.
o
Do not place the unit in locations exposed to permanent vibrations
o
Do not place the unit in wet and humid locations.
•
Be sure that the ventilation holes are not blocked.
•
This manual is the user’s guide for operation; it is not a criterion for configuration.
•
Do not use the product if it disturbs the privacy of others.
•
Clean the unit with soft cloth. Do not use solvents or other aggressive detergents.
•
Please keep the following “Special safety instructions for this unit”.
•

The unit must not remain unattended when in operation. If you have to leave the room, al-
ways switch off the unit or unplug the power cord (hold the plug, do not pull the power cord).
•
To protect children from the risk resulting from electrical devices, please ensure that the
power cord does not hang down and the children cannot reach the unit.
•
Check the unit and the power cord regularly for damage. If the unit shows any defect, do not
put it into operation.
•
Do not repair the unit yourself, but contact an authorised service person. To eliminate any
risk, have the damaged power cord replaced with the cord of the same specification by the
manufacturer, by our customer service or by other qualified person.
•
Do not drop the unit or give it shocks, otherwise malfunction may occur.
•
Do not use the unit in a strong magnetic field, in a field with strong electromagnetic charge or
in the environment with electromagnetic interference. Data loss may occur.
•
When moving the unit from a very cold room to a warm room, a condensation may appear
preventing the unit from proper functioning. In such a case wait 1 or hours before you re-
start the unit.
•
It is forbidden by law to copy, broadcast, show,broadcast via cable, play in public, or rent
copyrighted material without permission.
•
Some CD-R/-RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW (non-original) discs might not be playable by the
player due to the physical condition of the recorded medium (disc), the recorded medium
quality, the recording method and the recording software characteristics.
