Differential Repair
NOTE:
When removing pinion shaft, be sure to retain the shims.
STEP 7.
Carefully remove pinion shaft assembly from drive
axle center section. Using a press and bearing puller,
remove inner shims and inner tapered roller bearing
from pinion shaft assembly.

Remove driven gear and pinion crush sleeve
