Grounding
To ensure personal safety and proper operation, and to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI),
the Powermax1650 must be properly grounded through the power cord according to local and
national electrical codes. Three-phase service must be of the 4-wire type with a green or
green/yellow wire for protective earth ground and must comply with local and national electrical
requirements. Refer to Section 1, Grounding Safety.
Power cords
Use a cord that is certified by local and national codes. The cord should be installed by a licensed
electrician. Refer to the length requirements listed below.
Note: The unit was tested with a 2 m power cord to verify EMC standard EN50199 compliance.
