Upon Receipt
1. Check that all items on your order have been received. Contact your distributor/OEM if any items are missing or
damaged.
2. If there is evidence of damage, refer to Claims, below. All communications regarding this equipment must include
the model number and serial number located on the back of the power supply.
3. Read the Safety section of this manual before setting up and operating this Hypertherm system.
Claims
Claims for damage during shipment: If your unit was damaged during shipment, you must file a claim with the
carrier. Hypertherm will furnish you with a copy of the bill of lading upon request. If you need additional assistance,
call the nearest Hypertherm office listed in the front of this manual.
Claims for defective or missing merchandise: If any component is missing or defective, contact your Hypertherm
distributor/OEM. If you need additional assistance, call the nearest Hypertherm office listed in the front of this
manual.

CAUTION
SYSTEM CIRCUIT REQUIREMENTS
A circuit capable of 20A, 115V or 10A, 230V is required for proper
operation. Protect circuit with appropriate size fuses or circuit breakers.
Locating Power Supply
Locate the Powermax380 power supply near the 115V or 230V power receptacle. Allow at least 10 inches (0.25 m)
of space at the front and back of the power supply for proper ventilation.
115/230 Voltage Configurations
The 115/230V Powermax380 power supplies are shipped with the input voltage selector switch positioned as
follows:
60 Hz Power Supply – 115 volts
50 Hz Power Supply – 230 volts
230 V, 1 PH
120 V, 1 PH
