Measure resistance between the blades
(line and neutral) in both directions on
the plug of the primary power cord. Do
not use the ground on the plug as a
measuring point.
Start
Check power cord and power switch S1.
Replace faulty component (Fig. 4-1 [6]
and [15] ).
Set the power switch S1 to ON (1).
Measure resistance between the blades
(line and neutral) in both directions on
the plug of the primary power cord.

Set the MAX42 power switch S1 to OFF (0), unplug the power cord, and discon-
nect the gas supply.
2.
Remove the left and right enclosures of the power supply. To do this, refer to
Figure 4-1. Remove the 6 screws (1), 3 screws (2), and 5 nuts (12) from the right
enclosure (3) and left enclosure (11) to access the power supply interior.

Move the right and left enclosures away from the power supply. Note that there
are inductors attached and wired to the inside of the left enclosure. Use
caution when moving the left enclosure to gain access to the power supply.
4.
Visually inspect the interior of the power supply. Look for loose connections,
burn and char marks, damaged components, etc.
5.
Perform the initial resistance checks.
