PRO Stormtrooper / Bounty Hunter Voice Amp,

 2005 Hyperdyne Labs

VOX auto timeout:

Another feature is the VOX timeout.  By default, it is set to 2.5 seconds.  When you break squelch, the board will
automatically close the mic after 2.5 seconds.  This novel feature also helps rid of feedback that would continue
forever after you were done speaking.  If you finish speaking before the timeout period, you will hear the static/click
combo (if enabled).  If you are not finished speaking in the timeout period, your speech will automatically be cut off.
So, you have to set the VOX timeout period to match your typical conversation times.  It is best to keep talking short
so you can get rid of any feedback that would start howling through the speaker once you stopped talking.

PTT mode:

Another feature is the push-to-talk mode.  This mode disables the VOX circuit and allows you to open and close the
mic manually at will using the remote pushbutton cable.  This optional mode gives you ultimate control on when and
how long the mic stays open for you to talk.  With the remote pushbutton cable attached to your finger, you have
absolute control over your voice output!

SECTION C. – CHANGING BOARD SETTINGS AND OPERATION

The pro trooper board has 2 functional modes, the setup mode and the FX mode.  By default, when you power on the
unit the board is in FX mode.  Setup mode is only entered by a special power on sequence.  One enters setup mode to
change any user settings on the board.

SETUP MODE

All tuning features of the voice board are done in “SETUP MODE

”.  To get the board into setup mode, turn off the

board, press and hold the programming pushbutton, and then power on the unit.  Let go of the pushbutton right
away.  The board is now in SETUP MODE.

In this mode you can change VOX, voice, and other settings for the

trooper board.

The voice amp has 7 functions that are controlled by the onboard pushbutton while in SETUP MODE.  These
functions are included to help mitigate feedback and to enable different voice effects.  The programmable settings
are:

1)

VOX auto timeout setting

2)

VOX on threshold setting (opens mic)

3)

VOX off threshold setting (closes mic)

4)

Toggle click/end static sounds on or off

5)

Toggle Bounty Hunter voice modulation mode

6)

Toggle PTT mode

7)

Reset all saved parameters to default

To get out of setup mode, simply power down the unit, wait 1 sec, then power it back up!

Each function will be discussed in detail.  The unit contains very sophisticated software that requires you to follow
the setup procedures in order to get the best performance from the voice amp.

PLEASE READ!!!

NOTE:  Unplug the microphone while changing any of the settings.  After changing a setting, plug the mic back in.
This way you can discern the number of LED blinks and ensure proper programming of the below settings.
