Drive Chain Cleaning and Oiling
The chain may require more frequent
adjustment that it is with periodic
maintenance depending upon your riding
conditions. Inspect and lubricate every
month. If it becomes necessary to replace
the drive chain, we recommend that you
take your vehicle to an authorized
HYOSUNG
dealer to have the work done.
You should periodically inspect the drive
chain for the following :

Loose pins
●
Damaged rollers
●
Dry or rusted links
●
Kinked or binding links
●
Excessive wear
If you find anything wrong with the drive
chain condition or adjustment, there is a
strong possibility that the sprockets will
have some damage to them also. Inspect
the sprockets for the following:
●
Excessively worn teeth
●
Broken or damaged teeth
●
Loose sprocket mounting nut(s)
Clean and oil the chain as follows :
1. Wash the chain with kerosene.
Kerosene is a petroleum product and
will provide some lubrication as well as
cleaning action.

Keep kerosene away from children and
pets. Dispose of used kerosene pro-
perly.
WARNING
Do not use gasoline or other commer-
cial cleaning solvents to clean the drive
chain.
CAUTION
2. After thoroughly washing the chain and
allowing it do dry, oil the links with a drive
chain lubricating oil or heavy weight
motor oil.
