5.2 Measure dynamic pressure or differential pressure
If pressure is measured in a hydraulic system, the type of mea-
surement such as dynamic pressure or differential pressure as
well as the measurement point MP is critical, as shown in the
following figure.

In the example, the dynamic pressure at the first measurement
point MP1 shows the sum of the subsequent differential pres-
sures Δp1, Δp2 and Δp3 and the dynamic pressure p4 at the
last measurement point MP4, denoted in the example in simpli-
fied form as ∑∆p.
