4. Remove the used filter element from the
element mount and dispose of it properly.
5. Clean the sealing surfaces on the filter
head and filter bowl.
6. Clean the sealing surface on the filter
head.
Check the O ring for visible signs of
damage and, if necessary, replace it.
Wet the O ring with hydraulic fluid and
insert it.
7. For easy installation of the filter element,
wet the O-ring on the filter element with
the operating medium.
