Please refer to the operating instructions of the FCU unit for further details.

Switching the unit on and off is done by pressing the OK/START or STOP button of
the FCU.

The measurement volumetric flow rate is shown in the FCUs display. Set the
volumetric flow rate to 50 to 150 ml/min.

Operation without FCU
·
Bring the selector switch „Aggregat FCU gesteuert“ to position „AUS“
·
The unit can now be switched on via the button „I“ and off via the button „0“
5 Maintenance
5.1 Visual
checks
·
Check regularly if all hoses and pipes are tight.
·
Check electrical installations regularly to see if cables, plugs, sensors or
connections or other parts in the switch cupboard are damaged.
5.2 Suction
strainer
The unit is equipped with a suction strainer in order to protect the pump from coarse
contamination.
This strainer must be inspected and cleaned if necessary.

To do this remove the suction strainer from the housing and clean it with
compressed air. Then put it back into the housing. The dirt from the suction
strainer has to be collected and disposed of according to the local regulations as
hazardous waste
.
5.3 Fluid-filter
5.3.1
Standard clogging indicator (pressure gauge)

To monitor the filter element, the unit is equipped with a
pressure clogging indicator.
·
As it is a pressure gauge, the instrument not only shows the
increasing pressure caused by increasing contamination of
the filter element, but also the total of all pressure drops.
·
Reaches the indicator the red marked area (2,5bar) the filter
element must be replaced.
The pressure clogging indicator only responds when fluid is flowing
trough the filter.
