Handing over

Explain the function of the unit to the user, 
in particular, draw his attention to the safety 
instructions. Hand over the installation and 
operating instructions to the user.

Maintenance

 

 

Applicable to all maintenance work: 

 

• Disconnect unit from the mains supply. 

 

• Disconnect cold water pipe from unit. 

 

• Remove unit, drain via the cold and hot 
water connection pieces and place on a 
table.
 

To remove the casing 

(Fig. 11):

 Pull off thermostat knob, remove screws.

 

On the under side, lower the locking 
screws towards the inside by rotating 
them counterclockwise or clockwise.

 

Swing open casing and remove. Untighten 
the plastic band of the HF10L.

The unit is now accessible for all maintenance 
work.

Exchange cable

If the electric cable has to be removed, the 
plastic thread which holds the form plate must 
not be removed!

Sensor positioning 

HF05L

The thermostat sensor and the safety thermal 
cut-out sensor in the HF05L are located in 
different capillary tubes. The thermostat sen-
sor should be positioned in accordance with 
Figure 12.

HF10L

The thermostat sensor and the safety thermal 
cut-out sensor in the HF10L are located 
within the same capillary tube and should be 
positioned in accordance with Figure 13.

Descaling

Remove heating flange, remove coarse calci-
um with a piece of wood, immerse heating 
element up to the flange plate into decalcitant.

Faults to be cleared by an 
approved professional

 

If the thermal cut-out operates by 
using the water heater normally, the 

reason for the fault must rectified and the 
thermostat must be replaced.

Environment and recycling

Recycling of obsolete appliances

Appliances with this label must not be 

disposed off with the general waste. 

They must be collected separately and 

disposed off according to local regulations.
