Maintenance
any maintenance of the stove insert should only be carried out when it is cold. daily maintenance is
limited to a minimum. it is easiest to vacuum-clean the stove insert on the outside using the small soft
brush attachment.
check that the air gap between the inner frame of the door and the glass is free of ashes and soot par-
ticles. Once a year, the stove insert should be thoroughly serviced. The combustion chamber should be
cleared of ashes and soot. door and fittings should be lubricated using a copper-based grease.
Cleaning
after sweeping, pull the smoke shelf forward and upward. Tilt the back edge to allow soot and ashes to
drop into the fire chamber. carefully tap the baffle plate to get it all down. when carrying out a thorough
clean, remove smoke shelf and baffle plate. First remove the slanting front plates, after which the side plates,
back and bottom plates and grate, if any, can be removed. when reassembling, reverse the sequence.
Ashes
The easiest way to empty the ashpan is to draw a plastic bag over it, turn it upside down, and then remove
it carefully from the bag. ashes can be disposed of in the ordinary refuse collection system.
Please note that there may be embers in the ashes for up to 24 hours after the fire has
gone out!
Insulation
The efficient, but porous insulation of the combustion chamber may, in time, be worn and damaged. cracks
in the insulation are irrelevant to the efficiency of the stove. however, it should be replaced when, due
to wear and tear, it has been reduced to less than half its original thickness.
Door/glass
check that the air gaps in the door frame are free of ashes and soot particles.
if the glass is blackened with soot, it can easily be cleaned using paper towel. carry out frequent checks
to ensure that seals in door and ash pan are intact and not brittle. Failing this, they should be replaced.
use original seals only.
Surface
The surface does not normally require any treatment. any damage to the coating may be remedied using
a senotherm spray.
Guarantee
The guarantee does not cover damage due to insufficient maintenance!

Problems
Blackened glass
- The wood is too damp. Only use wood stored for at least 12 months under cover and with a moisture
level not exceeding 18%.
- insufficient intake of secondary air for glass pane rinse. Open sliding damper in door further.
