Step 6, Turn the power of the Smart Blocker on and wait until it displays the main
screen.
Step 7, Put a frame on the grippers of the Frame Reader and press the button “BOTH”
for reading it. Wait until it finishes reading the frame and transmits the data to the
Smart Blocker.
Step 8, Check whether the frame data is received correctly by the Smart Blocker
correctly.
5.1.2.
Interfacing with Lens Edger
Step 1, Turn the power of instruments off, both the Lens Edger and the Smart Blocker.
Step 2, Connect a 9-pin serial interface cable to either the EDGER-1 port or the
EDGER-2 port of the of the Smart Blocker.
Step 3, Connect the other side of the serial interface cable to the TRACER port or to
the BLOCKER port of the edger(if the edger supports drilling function, connect the
cable to the BLOCKER port. Otherwise connect it to the TRACER port).
Step 4, Turn on the power of the Lens Edger and wait unit it finishes its initialization
sequence.
Step 5, Turn the power of the Smart Blocker on and wait until it displays the main
screen.
Step 6, Load a job data from the internal memory of the Smart Blocker and transmit it
to the Lens Edger (touch the “Transmission” button on the LCD).
Step 7, Check whether the job data is received correctly by the Lens Edger correctly.
