Diagnosti cs Tests
Motor Sensor Test
The Motor Sensor Test helps you determine if there may
be a problem with the Plati num™ Q|160 motor. Slowly
rotati ng the hand wheel should result in an audible
beep. If you get a constant solid beep or no beep at
all, this indicates a failed test and the machine should
be inspected by a quali fied Husqvarna® Viking® repair
technician.
Press the
HOME
butt on to return to the Main menu
screen or the Tools butt on to return to the Diagnosti cs
menu screen.
Speed Sensor Test
The Speed Sensor test can helps determine if there is a
problem with the Plati num™ Q|160 speed sensor. Before
performing this test, remove the bobbin case and the
top thread. Press the foot pedal so that the machine will
begin slowly running. The white box will show a number
that should stabilize at 100 if the sensor is functi oning
properly. Release the foot pedal to stop the ma chine.
Press the Home butt on to return to the Main menu
screen or the Tools butt on to return to the Diagnosti cs
menu screen.
Lighti ng
The brightness porti on of this screen has two butt ons and
a sliding control. The LED Light Ring and light bar can be
turned on or off with the switch butt on associated with the
LED locati on. Use the slide bar to adjust the brightness of
each light.
Calculator Screen
A basic six-functi on calculator is provided. The functi ons
provided are additi on, subtracti on, multi plicati on, division,
square root, and percentage. Use the back space on the top
right to delete a digit mistakenly entered.
Diagnosti cs Screen
Six diff erent diagnosti cs tests can be performed on the
machine. These functi ons test the motor control operati on,
the foot pedal, and the internal positi on sensors.
