Measuring the rear wheel dimension unloaded
Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (

Position the sag gauge in the rear axle and measure the distance to marking

on the rear fender.

Note down the value as dimension

Finishing work
–
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (

Checking the static sag of the shock absorber

Measure dimension
of rear wheel unloaded. (

Hold the motorcycle upright with the aid of an assistant.

Again measure the distance between the rear axle and marking
SAG
on the rear
fender using the sag gauge.
