
To set the PTO speed
Turn the PTO speed switch to (A), (B) or (C).

• (B) Reduced speed.

To adjust the ground pressure of the
hydraulic lifting arms
The hydraulic lifting arms has a gas spring that helps to
increase or decrease the ground pressure from the pivot
wheel on the cutting deck.
1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to
cutting deck on page 29
.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Move the lever for the hydraulic lifting arms rearward
to fully lift the hydraulic lifting arms.
4. Turn the power key to the STOP position.
5. To increase or decrease the ground pressure,
remove the pin and the bolt and move the gas spring
to 1 of the positions.

a) Use position (A) for the lowest ground pressure.
Position (A) is used for example when a cutting
deck is attached to the product.
b) Use position (B) or (C) for increased ground
pressure.
c) Use position (D) to disengage the gas spring.
Position (D) is used for example when a snow
blade is attached to the product.

1. Park the product on level ground.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Move the lever for the hydraulic lifting arms rearward
to fully lift the cutting deck.
4. Turn the power key to the STOP position.
5. Remove the cutting height adjustment knob on the
side of the cutting deck.
6. Put the cutting height adjustment knob in 1 of the
holes on the adjustment plate.

The cutting height is shown with the
numbers 1-7. Refer to the table below.

7. Tighten the cutting height adjustment knob.
8. Do steps 5-7 on the other side of the cutting deck.
