To assemble the handle
WARNING:
For LB 246E, remove the
battery.
1. Install the upper handle to the lower handle and
tighten the knobs (A), washers (B) and screws (C)
fully on the right and left sides. (Fig. 19)
CAUTION:
Make sure that the wires
are not caught or become damaged.
2. Fold the handle up. (Fig. 20)
3. Put the stay in the groove on the cutting cover. (Fig.
21)
4. Attach the 2 stops that lock the stay and the handle.
Push them fully in position. (Fig. 22)
Note:
There are 2 stops, 1 identified with an H and
1 with a V. Put the stop with an H on the right side
and the stop with a V on the left side.
CAUTION:
Do not operate the
product if the 2 stops are not attached.
To adjust the handle height
1. Remove the handle stay from the lower handle. (Fig.
23)
a) Put the handle stay in the top hole (A) to
decrease the handle height.
b) Put the handle stay in the bottom hole (B) to
increase the handle height. (Fig. 24)
To set the product in transport position
1. Loosen the knobs. (Fig. 25)
2. Release the stay. (Fig. 26)
3. Fold the lower handle and the stay forward. (Fig. 27)
4. Fold the upper handle rearward.
To set the product in operation position
1. Fold the upper handle forward.
2. Fold the lower handle rearward in a upright position.

3. Put the stay in the groove. (Fig. 29)
4. Fold the upper handle up.
5. Tighten the knobs fully.

1. Read the operator's manual carefully and make sure
that you understand the instructions.
2. Examine the cutting equipment to make sure that it
is correctly attached and adjusted. Refer to

To fill fuel
If available, use low-emission/alkylate gasoline. If low-
emission/alkylate gasoline is not available, use good
quality unleaded gasoline or leaded gasoline with octane
number not less than 90.
CAUTION:
Do not use gasoline with an
octane number less than 90 RON (87 AKI).
This can cause damage to the product.
1. Open the fuel tank cap slowly to release the
pressure.
2. Fill slowly with a fuel can. If you spill fuel, remove it
with a cloth and let remaining fuel dry off.
