TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshooting schedule
!
WARNING! If service operations or trouble shooting does not require the machine to be on, the
engine should be switched off, and the stop switch in STOP position.
Problem

The machine does not
start
Incorrect starting procedure.
See instructions under the heading Starting
and stopping.
Stop switch in the right (STOP) position
Make sure that the stop switch (STOP) is in
the left position.
There is no fuel in the fuel tank
Refill with fuel
Spark plug defective
Replace the spark plug.
Defective clutch
Contact your service agent.
The chain rotates at idle
Idle speed too high
Adjust the idle speed
Defective clutch
Contact your service agent.
The chain does not
rotate while throttling up
Chain tension too tight. Diamond chain
should always be able to be pulled around
the guidebar by hand. It is normal for the
diamond chain links to hang below the
guidebar.
Adjust the chain tension, see instructions in
the section ”Assembling and adjustments”.
Defective clutch
Contact your service agent.
Blade fitted incorrectly
Make sure the blade is properly installed.
The machine has no
power while attempting
to throttle up
Clogged air filter
Check the air filter and replace if necessary.
Clogged fuel filter
Replace the fuel filter.
Fuel tank vent blocked
Contact your service agent.
Vibration levels are too
high
Blade fitted incorrectly
Check that the cutting blade is fitted correctly
and does not show signs of damage. See the
instructions in the sections "Cutting blades"
and "Assembly and adjustments".
Blade defective
Change the blade and make sure it is intact.
Vibration damping elements defective
Contact your service agent.
Temperature of the
machine is too high
Air intake or cooling flanges blocked
Clean the machine’s air intake/cooling
flanges
Clutch slipping / is defective
Always cut at full throttle.
Check clutch / contact your service agent
Poor cutting speed
Diamonds may be glazed or too low feed
pressure.
Cut in a soft abrasive material such as
sandstone or brick, for a short while.
Premature chain
stretch.
Not enough water pressure. Insufficient
water supply may result in excessive wear to
the diamond chain, which can lead to loss of
strenght and diamond chain breakage.
Increase the water pressure.
Diamond chain snaps ot
jumps of
Improper chain tension
Adjust the chain tension, see instructions in
the section ”Assembling and adjustments”.
Inserting saw into slot narrower than
diamond chain segments.
See instructions in the section "Operation".
Not enough feed pressure while cutting.
Avoid letting the saw bounce and chatter.
