0 to 240 Ft., 0 to 480 Ft., 0 to 960 Ft., and 0 to 1500 Ft. You may manually change the
depth range by pressing the depth set button and then either the increase or decrease
button. Each time one of the set buttons is depressed the range will change by one
setting.
Note: Should you attempt to change to a depth range which is less than the actual bottom
depth, the computer will automatically change the depth range back to the proper
position. For example, if you are in 40 feet of water and you change the depth range to
30 feet, the computer will automatically change back to the 60 foot range.
Manual Mode: - In the Manual Mode (See Paragraph 7 below) the automatic range
change is not active. This means that you must manually set the depth range. For
example, if you are on the 0 to 30 foot range and the bottom goes from 25 feet to 35 feet,
you press the depth set button and then the (increase) button to change to the 0 to 60
foot range.
The depth range can also be changed by only pressing the depth set button. Each time
this button is pressed the depth range will decrease (become shallower).
Remember that because of the LCR's Total Screen Update feature, information is
automatically being put into memory in smaller increments (pieces) than is being
displayed on the normal depth scales (see explanation of Total Screen Update earlier in
manual). This means, for example, that even though you are on the 0 to 240 ft. scale,
when you change to the 0 to 30 ft. scale the information will be displayed just as if you
had been on the 0 to 30 ft. scale all along. No information or resolution is lost.
5. Display Stop/Resume: Anytime during the operation of the LCR you may stop the display
by simply pushing the Display Stop/Resume button. This button has been highlighted
with a yellow circle to make it easy to find. This feature will aid in the learning and
interpretation of the display by giving you time for study. When the display is stopped the
display speed and sensitivity setting cannot be changed.
