Lowering (Activating) the Downriggers
Once downriggers are set up, they must be activated (lowered) before they can
be used. In this way, the downriggers are prevented from going to their depths
before you are ready. Downriggers can be activated all at the same time, or
individually from the Downrigger X-Press™ menu. To activate all of the units at
once, use the 4-WAY Cursor Control key to select Activate All. Behind the menu,
you will see the icons moving on the screen and all of the downriggers will start
moving on the boat.
CAUTION:
It is recommended that you activate the downriggers individually if you are
sending them to a significant depth.
To activate the downriggers individually, use the 4-WAY Cursor Control key to
select Activate Single to see a second, smaller submenu displayed with the
number of all of the downriggers on it. Select the individual downrigger you want
to send to depth from this submenu. The selected unit, as well as any linked
units, will begin moving. Once all of the downriggers that you want are lowered,
you may return to the Downrigger View.
