Pocketalker® Ultra. You have chosen a
modern and reliable system. Please read
through the operating instructions careful-
ly to be able to start the unit correctly and
to familiarise yourself with all of the
systems features.
Standard components
Please check if all following components
are included:
- Pocketalker® Ultra
- 2 x 1.5 V AAA batteries
- Plug-in microphone
- Headphone (Mono)
- Carrying cord
- Belt clip
- Operating instructions
- Warranty card
If any parts are missing, please immedia-
tely contact your dealer or the manufactu-
rer directly.
Functional principle
The communication system
Pocketalker®
Ultra is meant to facilitate the participance
of people with hearin g loss, at conversati-
ons under difficult terms. Use the
Pocke-
talker® Ultra to improve listening on a one-
to-one basis, in small group situations,
while listening to your favorite TV or radio
programs, or while riding the car.
The sonic level of the system
can be very high. Make sure
the volume is turned down
before the batteries will be
put in or the headphones/
microphone will be plugged
or unplugged.
Inserting batteries
The amplifier is operated with two micro
batteries (Typ AAA).
1. Open the battery compartment door:
Using your thumb, apply firm pressure
on the ridges of the door and slide it
down and away from the unit.
2. Insert the two batteries according to the
polarity marks.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Please take care that the bat-
teries will be inserted in
accordance to the polarity
marks. The correct place-
ment of (+) and (-) terminals
is displayed graphically in-
side the battery compart-
ment.

1. Plug the microphone and
head set into the corre-
sponding jack.
2. Turn on the
Pocketalker®
Ultra by turning the volume
control counterclockwise.
The red `on` indicator light
on the top of the unit
should be lit.
3. Turn up the volume until
you are able to understand
your dialogue partner best
