Smoke detector connection
Use the adhesive ring to glue the
microphone next to the sound outlet of
your smoke detector (see illustration)
and plug the microphone cable into
the connection jack on the bottom of
the transmitter. To do this, pull off the
backing foil from the adhesive ring on
the microphone.
Installation example
For optimum function of the transmit-
ter, its sensitivity dial switch must be
set so the transmitter reliably
responds to the smoke detector.
Setting the sensitivity
1. Set the sensitivity dial switch to its
lowest level (turn to the anticlock-
wise to stop).
2. Activate the test alarm of the
smoke detector and gradually in-
crease the sensitivity of the
transmitter (by turning the dial
clockwise) until the transmitter
reacts to the smoke detector.
Important note
All
lisa
devices connected to the
mains supply have a low power con-
sumption which may lead to the devi-
ce feeling warm. This is normal and
does not interfere with the normal
function of the devices.
These signalling systems have a high
operational safety. Should any faults
occur in spite of proper installation
and use, please contact your dealer.
High and low voltage spikes (e.g.
during a thunderstorm) can occur on
the mains supply. The
lisa
devices
have an integrated electronic control-
ler which may stop working after these
conditions. If this happens simply
unplug each of the devices and plug
them in again.
As a precaution remove all devices
from their sockets during a thun-
derstorm.
The use of halogen lamps or other
equipment (e.g. Microwave Ovens)
may, in rare cases, interfere with the
lisa
signals. In these cases the use of
mains filters or suppressors is advisa-
ble. Please ask your dealer.
Maintenance and care
All
lisa
devices are maintenance free.
To clean, remove from the mains sok-
ket and wipe with a moistened cloth.
Never use cleaning agents.
lisa
devices should not be exposed to
excessive heat, dust, humidity or
mechanical shock.
