“F” to “N”Adapters
The “N” to “F” transition involves adapting the PES 5000 version 3 “F” Type connector on the back panel of the unit to
the existing “N” Type IFL cable connector kits for Type I and Type III cable. The PES 5000 version 3 includes the
proper adapters to convert its IFL “F” connector to an “N” (figure 4). No new installation materials are required. Table 2
gives the run lengths for these existing cable types. Figure 3 shows the phase 1 connections and cables.
