4. Use a torque wrench to tighten the cable connector to
22 inch-lb.
5. If necessary, secure the cable with cable ties.
6. After both the transmit and receive cables are connected to
the radio and the IDU, reapply power to the IDU in
accordance with the instructions in the IDU installation
guide.
Grounding
Ground the antenna as instructed in the documents listed in
Grounding on page 5. Use of the ground screw on the radio
assembly is optional. The radio is grounded through the shield in
the coaxial cable and the ground block.
NOTICE
Coaxial cables and connectors can corrode if exposed to
moisture. Use
only
compression type connectors, and
weatherproof them with dielectric grease and weatherproofing
tape.
