Solution
The relative
indicator of
LAN is not on
after the
Ethernet cable
has been
connected
Check the connection of cable and network
adapter;
Make sure that the correct cable is used;
Make sure the cable works fine by pinging
the host IP address;
Ensure your Network Adapter works
normally by examining whether the item of
“Networking Adapters” is labeled with “?” or
“!”. If yes, delete it and then click
Refresh
to
reinstall. Otherwise, you may try the NIC in
another slot. If it still does not work, replace
the NIC.
The indicator
of ADSL is not
on
Ensure the line and splitter is well
connected;
Ensure the telephone line outside the house
is valid, try to test with a telephone;
Ensure there is no junction box before
connecting, which has such components like
capacitors or diodes that could hinder back
high frequency signals;
Ensure the telephone line is connected in the
right way.
