2 Installing the CRPC Board
• An indoor 300 mm cabinet can house one OptiX PTN
3900 and two CRPC frames at most. Install the OptiX PTN
3900 device at the upper portion and the CRPC frames at
the lower portion.
• You are recommended to reserve a space of 100 mm
between the OptiX PTN 3900 and the upper CRPC frame
and a space of 25 mm between the two CRPC frames for
heat dissipation. Do not place any thing at the air intake
and air exhaust vents of the CRPC frames; otherwise,
proper ventilation cannot be ensured.
NOTE
Remove the mounting ears at the middle of the CRPC frame and
install them at the front.
Insert the front panel screws to the mounting ear holes and
tighten them to secure the frame to the cabinet.
(Optional) If two CRPC boards are installed for the OptiX
PTN 3900, set the jumpers on the two CRPC boards so that
the two CRPC boards can be identified by their slot IDs on
the NMS.
The CRPC board has two jumper blocks: J3 and J4. Set the
jumpers as follows: Cap pins 9 and 10 in J4 on one CRPC
board but do not cap pins 9 and 10 in J4 on the other board.

Install the CRPC boards into the frames, lock the front
panels, and then tighten the front panel screws.
