Installing and Routing Power Cables

Installing Copper Plates on Site (TN81PDU)
Do not install the copper plates in the power supply output area of the DC PDU. You should determine
whether the copper plates are installed in the power supply input area only according to the on-site power
supply situation.
If new equipment is not configured with sufficient external power inputs according to the standard
configurations of a cabinet, instead, if it is configured with external power inputs according to the number of
actually configured subracks, power cables of the subracks need to be increased during later installation of
subracks for expansion. For how increase the power cables, refer to the
Appendix.
The following figures show how to install short-circuit copper bars in Area A. The method to install short-circuit
copper bars in Area B is the same as that in Area A.
Determine the input terminal groups to be short-circuited. Install the copper plate on the input terminal
groups (+) to be short-circuited. Then, connect the external power cables (black) to the input terminals (+).
Repeat the preceding operations and short-circuit the target input terminal groups (-). Then, connect the
external power cable (blue) to the input terminals (-).
