Service
2.2.1 SDH/PDH Service
The OptiX OSN 7500 can access SDH and PDH services, such as:
Standard SDH: STM-1/4/16/64
Standard SDH concatenated payload: STM-4c/16c/64c
SDH with FEC: 10.71 Gbit/s, 2.66 Gbit/s
Standard PDH: E1/DS1, E3/DS3, E4
2.2.2 Ethernet Services
The OptiX OSN 7500 provides EFS4, EFS0, EGS2, EGT2 and EFT8 Ethernet boards
to satisfy the requirements of different Ethernet services transmission.
FE electrical Ethernet service
FE optical Ethernet service
GE optical Ethernet service
2.2.3 ATM Services
The OptiX OSN 7500 provides four different ATM processing boards: ADL4, ADQ1,
IDL4 and IDQ1. The IDL4 and the IDQ1 support inverse multiplexing for ATM (IMA).
The ADL4/IDL4 provides one STM-4 interface, using a hot swappable LC optical
module, which can be S-4.1 and L-4.1.
The ADQ1/IDQ1 provides four STM-1 interfaces, using a hot swappable LC optical
module, which can be I-1, S-1.1 and L-1.1.
2.2.4 SAN and Video Services
The OptiX OSN 7500 provides the multi-service transparent transmission processing
board MST4, to access fiber channel (FC), fiber connection (FICON), enterprise
systems connection (ESCON), digital video broadcast-asynchronous serial interface
(DVB-ASI) and GE services and fulfills their transparent transmission. The MST4
performs the following functions.
Provides four independent multi-service access ports.
Supports FC services (FC50, FC100/FICON and FC200) from four ports with a
total bandwidth of not more than 2.5 Gbit/s, and supports transmission of FC
services at full rate, that is, supports 1 x FC200 or 2 x FC100 or 4 x FC50.
