If a fire alarm is generated, determine whether to extinguish the fire or leave the area
immediately based on the actual situation and contact the personnel on duty or local fire
station.
Procedure
Step 1
Locate the fire alarm area based on the alarm information.
Step 2
Check the internal situation in the video surveillance system.
If the video surveillance system indicates that everything is normal, go to
If smoke or fire exists, go to
Step 3
Verify whether fire extinguishing agent has been released.
If the system has started releasing fire extinguishing agent, wait until the fire is
extinguished and contact Huawei technical support.
If the fire extinguishing agent has not been released, check the situation onsite and
contact the local fire station.
Step 4
Take necessary tools and communications devices, arrive at the site as soon as possible, open
the external fire control box, and press the emergency start button.
If a container is on fire, do not enter the container or stay around the container before the
fire is extinguished.
After pressing the start switch (green one) of the emergency start/abort switch, leave the
site immediately and wait for the firefighters to handle the situation.
Step 5
Check whether there is an alarm on the fire control panel outside the container.
If the fire control panel reports a single fire alarm (smoke alarm) but the VESDA does
not report any alarm, go to
5.4.1 Replacing a Smoke Detector
If the fire control panel reports a single fire alarm (overtemperature) alarm but the
management system does not report any overheat alarm, go to

Step 6
Check the cable connection from the fire control panel to the management system.
Verify that the cable connection is correct and check whether the alarm disappears. If the
alarm disappears, the troubleshooting ends.
If the cable connection is correct but the alarm persists, go to
Step 7
Check the threshold settings for the fire control panel in the management system.
