When the keypad is locked, you can press

Changing the Text Input Modes
The indicator of the current text input mode is displayed in the
upper left corner of the screen. You can press
to change
the text input mode.

Delete
) once to delete the last
entered character. You can also press and hold

Delete
) for about 3s to delete all the entered characters
at once.
Multi-tap Input Mode
To enter text in multi-tap input mode, press the key labeled
with the desired letter once to enter the first letter on the key,
twice to enter the second letter on the key, and so on.
