Hardware structure of the FWT Min-Board Functional
Modules
The hardware system of the FWTs is composed of two boards and peripherals like
keypad/LCD. The two boards are FWT central processing unit (TCPU board) and
interface processing unit (PIPU board). Keypad and LCD belong to purchased
equipment of the FWT. The functional modules are divided into user sub-system,
power sub-system, MSM6000 sub-system, and radio-frequency sub-system. Each
board has its own functional modules. The TCPU board can be divided by function
into

power-management
module,
radio-frequency sub-system, and PIPU board interface module. The PIPU can be
divided by function into user sub-system (serial port conversion and protection
module, R_UIM card interface, audio frequency channels 1 and 2, environmental
variable monitoring module, PCB version No. detection module, etc.) and power
and power-management module (Primary power interface protection module,
primary power detection module, battery charging/discharging module, DC/DC
power module, and startup/shutdown control module).

TCPU board structure
The TCPU board can be divided into 4 parts, as shown in Figure 1-2: MSM6000
sub-system, power and power-management module, radio frequency sub-system,
and PIPU board interface module.
The MSM6000 sub-system contains voice coding/decoding unit, baseband signal
processing unit, and the CPU system through which protocol software runs. All of
