Getting Started

Installing UIM Card and Battery

Caution:

Consult your service provider to decide whether to use UIM card or
not. If UIM card is used, read the following safety precautions
carefully to ensure correct and safe use of the UIM card:

z

Keep your UIM card away from children.

z

Insert and remove the UIM card with care. Scratching or bending
can easily damage the UIM card or its contact electrode.

z

Before inserting or removing your UIM card, power off your phone,
remove the battery, and disconnect your phone from the travel
charger.

Install the Battery

Follow the procedure below for installing the UIM card and the battery. Note
that the battery should be installed before using the phone, even if UIM card is
not being used.

Let the back of the phone face towards you. Insert the battery into the
bottom of the battery holder at a proper angle.
