10. Send Text Messages
Create and send text messages to your family, friends or business associates. The
QWERTY keyboard makes it a snap to type your messages.
To send a text message
On the Home screen, slide to the Messages tab and tap
.
In the
To
field, enter a mobile phone number, or tap
To
and select a contact
from the Contacts list.
Compose your message and then tap
Send
.
11. Set Up and Use E-mail
On the Home screen, slide to the Mail tab and set up your personal e-mail
account such as Yahoo! Mail Plus or AOL and your Outlook work e-mail account.
If this is your first time to set up an e-mail account, tap
New Account
. If you are
setting up subsequent accounts, tap
Menu > Accounts > New Account
. The Mail
Setup screen then opens, guiding you to set up your e-mail account.
To set up an Internet e-mail account
On the Mail Setup screen, enter your e-mail address and password, then
tap
Next
.
Enter your name and account display name, then tap
Next
. Mail Setup then
searches for the e-mail provider settings on your device.
Note If the settings are not found, you will be prompted to enter the e-mail
account settings manually. Obtain the e-mail account settings from your
e-mail provider.
Tap the
Automatic Send/Receive
time, and then choose how often you want
e-mail messages to be automatically sent and downloaded on your device.
Tap
Done
.
