13.2  JBlend 

JBlend is a Java application that lets you download, manage, and install 

MIDlets, Java applications such as games and tools that can run on mobile 

devices.  Your device supports Java 2 Micro Edition, J2ME.

To open JBlend Java 

Tap 

Start > Programs > JBlend

.

Install and launch MIDlets

Choose one of the following methods to install MIDlets..

To download and install using Internet Explorer Mobile

1. 

From the JBlend program screen tap 

Install > Download 

to open 

Internet Explorer Mobile.

2. 

After connecting to the Internet, browse to the location of the MIDlet 

and tap to download and install the desired MIDlet.

3. 

You are prompted to confirm MIDlet installation.

4. 

Tap 

Yes

. The MIDlet is downloaded and installed.

5. 

After the MIDlet is installed, you see the following prompt.

Tap 

Yes

 to begin using the MIDlet..

To install from your device

You can copy MIDlets from the PC to your device using the USB sync cable 

or Bluetooth connection. Copy them to the root folder or any subfolder on 

your device.

Install > Local Install

. 

2. 

The program then searches for MIDlets on your device and displays 

them in a list.

3. 

From the list, tap the MIDlet that you want to install.

4. 

Confirm to start the installation.

5. 

After the installation is complete you are prompted to use the new 

MIDlet.
