Shredding CDs
(only in cut size: 5.8 mm, 3.9 mm, 4.5x30 mm)
• Only feed the material
into the insertion slot
of the safety element
(splinter protection).
Shredding credit cards
(only in cut size: 5.8 mm, 3.9 mm, 4.5x30 mm,
1.9x15 mm)
Feed the cards through the CD slot
when the cut size is 5.8 mm, 3.9 mm and
4.5x30 mm. For machines with a cutting
width of 1.9x15 mm, use the paper feed.
Note:
To completely separate
the materials shredded,
you can insert the CD
bag supplied.
Please consider the environment and dis-
pose of different materials separately.
Slide the stack of paper into the control
slot. After a short time lag, the display
lights up next to the slot:
in green: The stack of paper can be
shredded.
in
yellow:
The amount of paper is within
the machine’s upper capacity
range. Reduce the number of
sheets in order not to damage
the machine and prevent a pa-
per jam.
in
red:
The number of sheets exceeds
the maximum cutting capacity of
the machine. Prevent the cut-
ting unit from blocking by reduc-
ing the amount of paper.
Note:
The measuring of the paper thick-
ness is regularly calibrated. Recalibration
starts when the door is opened or closed,
or every 400 s. The LEDs are lit for a
short time.
The function is available again
after 15 seconds.
Remove the stack of paper.
• Feed the paper to the middle of the paper
slot. The light barrier starts the cutting
unit automatically. Therefore, with thin
paper strips, make sure the light barrier
detects them.
Two seconds after the light barrier in the
paper feed opening is free again, the cut-
ting unit is switched off automatically and
the shredder switches to standby.
Note:
You can fold the safety
element upwards to
shred larger quantities
of paper. This makes
it easier to access the
feed opening.
Switching off the shredder
• Press the operation button.
The “Ready for operation” indicator goes
out.
• Set mains switch at rear of paper shred-
der to „0“.
