Server requirements
To use this service template, the following servers are required:
• OpenStack server -- A server on which OpenStack is installed.
• KVM server -- A server on which Kernel-based Virtual Machine is installed.
• OpenStack control server -- A server that runs the REST API on the OpenStack server.
• Instance -- An instance that is managed by the OpenStack server or by KVM. A general virtual server.
Usage guidelines
• If the specified file names already exist, the existing files are overwritten. The files on the remote side
are deleted. Therefore, make sure that the specified file names are correct.
• If the folder in a remotely specified path does not exist, the folder is created in the path. The created
folder is not deleted. If you do not use such folders, delete them periodically.
• If two or more instances have the same name, instances cannot be identified in a CSV file to be
output.
AWS service templates
The following is a list of the additional Automation Director service templates for AWS, which are imported
by default. However, to use these service templates, you must create an associated service.
NOTE:
If you used any of these additional service templates in Automation Director v8.2.0 (or earlier),
and have subsequently upgraded to v8.2.1 (or later), you cannot use the service version-up wizard to
upgrade to the latest version. Instead, you must recreate the services from the new versions of the
service templates.
Add a virtual server (deploy)
Creates a virtual server in an Amazon EC2 environment. (In Amazon EC2, this is referred to as
"starting an instance".)
