Removing a 2 LFF HDD assembly
To remove a 2 LFF HDD assembly:
1.
Power down the server and detach all power cords from the power supplies.
2.
Remove the access panel (on page

Pull out the plunger on the HDD pan.
4.
Grasp the handle and lift it up until the pins on the HDD pan (x4) reach the top of the guide column.
NOTE:
Extend the handle to 90°, but do not surpass it to prevent damaging the mechanism.
5.
Once the HDD pan is fully opened, move the HDD pan as illustrated. The pins on the HDD pan slide
into a resting position (see illustration) on the chassis slot.
NOTE:
The plunger on the chassis prevents the HDD pan from sliding.
