Table 4-12 Onboard Administrator power management configuration parameters

Description

Possible value

Value

Parameter

The chosen redundant operation
mode for the power subsystem

AC Redundant, Power Supply
Redundant, or Not Redundant

Enclosure Power mode

Yes is the default value because
the dynamic power mode saves
power in most situations. When
enabled, Dynamic Power Server
mode runs the required power
supplies at a higher rate of use.
Unused power supplies remain
in standby mode.

Yes or No

Dynamic Power Savings mode

Yes or No

Enable Enclosure AC Input
Watts Limit

If a data center has a cooling
capacity limitation for the
maximum number of VA (watts)
that can be cooled per
enclosure, set a VA limit.
Cooling capacity information
can be obtained from your
facilities manager. Setting the
Input VA limit to less than the
maximum VA supplied by the
selected power supply mode
limits the number of devices that
can be powered up and keeps
the enclosure within the cooling
capacity of the data center.

2,700 VA to 16,400 VA
